Meg recently moved from the DC area, where she worked as Vice President of Marketing for the National Association of Home Builders. Her 30+ year career included developing and marketing products for new home sales and marketing staff, NAHB brand management, as well as having oversight of marketing for the home building industry's biggest event, The NAHB International Builders' Show.
Meg graduated from the University of Toledo, in Toledo, Ohio, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Communications.
Meg likes problem-solving, where she can figure out the best and most cost-efficient ways to solve a specific issue. She prides herself on finding creative ways to solve a problem, but also staying within a specific budget to do that. As a people-person (aka extrovert), Meg loves working on teams, whether as a team leader or a team member. And, as are most marketing people, Meg considers herself a pretty good writer and copy editor.
Meg currently chairs the Marketing Committee of a new 501(c)3 being started in her community, called St. James NEST. Its purpose is to provide services and support to residents to enhance their ability to make 'aging in place' a reality. Additionally, Meg volunteers in a variety of ways through her church, especially on projects targeting the most vulnerable citizens in Brunswick County.
Meg grew up in a small town outside of Chicago, but moved to the Washington, DC area after college. Meg moved to Brunswick County in 2018, and has been learning all sorts of new card games, including her favorite, Hand Knee & Foot. When our lovely coastal weather permits, Meg likes to get outside to go biking or play pickleball. She's an avid reader and has a goal of reading 60 books in 2020.
